Dr. Scharf is not your typical physician. While she is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and has had the best in traditional training, she also takes pride in her integrated blend of non-traditional approaches. With an emphasis on wellness and prevention, Dr. Scharf’s unique practice combines the Functional Medicine model and a range of healing modalities with her clinical expertise, extensive research skills and a finely tuned intuition. She conscientiously tailors her care for the whole person, working as an open-minded and dedicated partner in designing personalized plans for optimal health.

Dr. Scharf completed her Internal Medicine Residency at New York University Hospital. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, has Advanced training in Functional Medicine from the Institute for Functional Medicine (Gig Harbor, Washington) as well as Professional and Advanced training in Mind-Body Medicine from the Center for Mind-Body Medicine (Washington D.C.).
