Dr. Rashel J. Tahzib is a board certified Family physician. She practices Integrative and Contemporary Family Medicine using the Functional Medicine approach. She is trained in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine by the American Academy of Anti- Aging Medicine. She specializes in functional medicine, orthomolecular medicine and bio-identical hormone therapy, using an integrative treatment approach.

Dr. Rashel is a graduate of the University of California Irvine with training in Biological Sciences and Psychology.   She earned her Medical Degree at Western University of Health Sciences in California and completed her residency in Family Medicine in California.  She has trained with the nation’s leading experts in anti-aging medicine, functional medicine and bio-identical hormone replacement and has travelled internationally to train with the world’s leading expert in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, Dr. Thierry Hertogue as part of her training in anti-aging medicine and natural hormone replacement therapy in men and women.   She is trained in functional medicine by the Institute of Functional Medicine and trained in chelation therapy by The American College for the Advancement of Medicine.  Dr. Rashel has also extensively studied Osteopathic Manipulation.

In addition to her medical training and specialty training in Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine, she has had moving and life-changing personal experience with her own health.  She lost optimal health at a young age while being treated with conventional pharmaceuticals through the symptom based conventional medical treatment approach and regained health and vitality through her work with functional, orthomolecular, and anti-aging medicine.  Today she feels better than ever and has reached an optimal physical fitness level.   She is an avid cyclist and runner and practices yoga and meditation regularly.

She realized early on, while in residency, that conventional medicine’s pharmaceutical drug only approach to health is failing, that there is more to health and wellness, and decided she will offer more to her patients.   As a result of her vision for a paradigm shift in medicine with a more effective holistic model for health and her own difficult but rewarding life experience she has devoted her life to prevention and healing in her patients using integrative treatments that incorporate the orthomolecular and functional medicine model for health with conventional medicine tools in treating her patients.
